ABx Group (ASX:ABX) will showcase opportunities around its rare earth and fluorine waste recycling at this week’s Noosa Mining Investors Conference in Queensland, starting on Wednesday 17 July.
Speaking to this news service, CEO Dr Mark Cooksey said the company’s presentation, which will take place on Wednesday at 4pm AEST, will focus on “convincing” current opportunities.
“I am attending the conference to promote ABx to investors who may not have been aware of ABx, to be available to speak with existing shareholders and potential investors, and to engage with the broader resource community, such as peer companies, vendors and brokers.” he says.
ABx, which has a market capitalisation of $12.75 million, is focused on developing an ionic absorption clay and rare earth project in northern Tasmania and establishing a hydrogen fluoride and aluminium fluoride production plant from recycled industrial waste through its 83%-owned subsidiary ALCORE.
Cooksey says investors should keep an eye out for news regarding exploration and metallurgical work at its rare earths project, which includes the Wind Breek, Deep Leads and Rubble Mounds projects.
He adds that investors should also monitor the results of the pilot plant’s work on its fluorine recycling project.
On June 4, the company achieved a 93% fluorine recovery from weld pool waste through its latest round of testing. ABx says this high recovery rate is considered a “A significant step forward” and gives the company the confidence that it can operate at scale.
ABx also completed its latest drilling campaign on the Deep Leads project, comprising 37 holes.
The company says the campaign explored an area directly northwest of the Deep Leads discovery. To date, the area has not been tested and the company interprets its location as ” very promising “ for new rare earth discoveries.
The junior explorer said 316 samples had been collected and sent to a lab for analysis. Results are expected to be received in mid-August.
