Australian confectionery brand Allen’s has launched a new surprise treat that is sure to delight its fans.
Customers across the country can now get their hands on Monopoly-inspired lollipops in Allen’s iconic flavors.
Much-loved fruity flavors have been redesigned to represent Monopoly tokens, including Strawberry Hotel, Pink Raspberry Dog, Green Apple Car, Zesty Orange Top Hat and Pineapple Duck.
The new offering will only be available in stores for a limited time and will retail for $5 each.
Foodie Mama Ren quickly spotted the latest acquisition on the shelves and shared a photo of the package on Facebook.
Melanie Chen, Nestlé’s marketing director for confectionery, said: “Buying, selling, dreaming and plotting just got more fun.
“Combining the beloved Monopoly tokens with the delicious taste of Allen, it’s a great excuse to gather friends or family around the table to sweeten the fun.
“We know everyone has their favorite Monopoly token and we’re sure they’ll find the same love for Allen’s Monopoly-inspired lollipops.”
Earlier this month, Dusk teamed up with Allen’s to launch a line of lollipop-inspired bath bombs, candles, scented oils and room sprays.
The unique range – including the Frogs Alive candle, Sherbies bath bomb and matching Party Mix tea lights – is scented like the Allen lollipops that Aussies know and love.
Other flavors include peaches and cream, pineapple and “cheeks.”
The new range launched in Dusk stores on July 3, with additional products launching in early August and late September.
This partnership will undoubtedly surprise thousands of Allen and Dusk fans.
Prices range from $12.99 for bath bombs to $54.99 for a 12 oz candle.
Melanie Chen, Nestlé’s Director of Confectionery Marketing, said: “When you open a bag of Allen, that deliciously familiar smell can instantly lift your mood.
“So we’re delighted to be partnering with the candle and gift experts at Dusk to recreate our signature lollipop scent in this iconic range.”
“It’s the perfect accompaniment to enjoying your favorite Allen lollipop or simply enjoying the mouthwatering aroma in your home,” Chen said.
Jeremy Taylor, Marketing Director at Dusk, added: “We are very excited to partner with Allen’s on this fragrance collaboration.
“Our Dusk x Allen’s products have been designed by our perfume experts to smell exactly like the real thing – they’re incredibly inedible.”
This is not the first time an iconic Australian lollipop has been transformed into another product.
In 2020, Oak, best known for its dairy products, launched Allen’s Pineapples, Allen’s Fantales and Nestlé Oak-flavored Peppermint Crisps.
At the time, eager fans were eager to get their hands on this unique treat, although opinions were subsequently divided.
