Apple will launch new “immersive” video content for the Vision Pro in the coming months, including one from The Weeknd, a close-up look at the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend, and “the first scripted short film captured in Apple Immersive Video.” new series and movie will be available exclusively on the Vision Pro, allowing wearers to watch 3D videos with a 180-degree field of vision.
The Weeknd’s immersive performance will arrive on Vision Pro later this year, while you can expect a short film showcasing NBA All-Star Game events this fall, such as the Rising Stars Challenge, the Slam Dunk Contest and the All-Star Game.

This is all on top of the immersive content Apple has already brought to the Vision Pro, including Adventure, Alicia Keys: rehearsal roomAnd Immersive prehistoric planet. Apple says that “more shows, movies, concerts and sporting events captured in Apple Immersive Video will be released this year,” aided by a new Blackmagic camera, as well as updates to DaVinci Resolve Studio and Apple Compressor coming later.
