TAIPEI, Taiwan, July 15, 2024 — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced Azoth Extreme, a 75% custom gaming keyboard featuring a precision aluminum alloy chassis with metal frame, delivering premium aesthetics and class-leading wireless performance. A carbon fiber positioning plate provides a crisp typing feel and minimizes key vibration. The keyboard includes an adjustable joint bracket that can be switched to provide a hard or soft typing feel via a quick toggle switch. A color OLED touchscreen in the upper right corner of the keyboard can display system information and keyboard settings. The adjacent three-way button allows for instant adjustment of volume, multimedia, lighting, and setting customization. An extended wrist rest ensures a comfortable typing experience and maintains its firmness over time.
Superior build quality
The ROG Azoth Extreme gaming keyboard features a premium aluminum alloy chassis with a metal frame that undergoes a complex 12-step manufacturing process including sandblasting, anodizing, CNC machining, and more. Additionally, the Azoth Extreme achieves an impressive 8,000 Hz polling rate when used with the ROG Polling Rate Booster, while delivering up to 1,600 hours of battery life.
A clean strike and sublime acoustics
ROG Azoth Extreme uses a carbon fiber positioning plate instead of FR4, steel, PC, POM, or brass commonly found in other gaming keyboards. Carbon fiber provides metal-like rigidity for a crisp typing feel; and its elasticity provides excellent shock absorption to effectively minimize vibration while typing.
The Azoth Extreme uses three layers of damping, with two PORON® layers and a silicone pad to absorb vibrations and minimize switch pings and echoes to deliver sublime acoustics.
Adjustable joint support
An innovative joint-mount design allows users to adjust the typing feel via a quick toggle switch located underneath the keyboard. In Hard Keystroke mode, ROG Azoth Extreme delivers firm keystrokes with a quick rebound, ideal for gaming. Alternatively, Soft mode offers a more cushioned and bouncy feel to ensure comfort during extended typing periods.
Color OLED touchscreen
The 1.47-inch color OLED display located in the upper right corner of ROG Azoth Extreme can display various types of information, including keyboard connection status, Caps Lock, and PC/Mac mode indicators. By tapping and swiping on the high-resolution OLED display, users can view various other functions such as hardware information and the KPS function that displays the user’s keystrokes per second.
Additional features
ROG Azoth Extreme features pre-lubricated ROG NX mechanical switches that deliver smoother keystrokes with improved acoustics. Tri-mode connectivity lets users connect devices via Bluetooth, low-latency ROG SpeedNova 2.4GHz RF wireless, or standard wired USB; with Bluetooth enabling simultaneous connections and easy switching between three devices. An extended silicone wrist rest is included, which aesthetically matches the keyboard, ensures typing comfort, and maintains its firmness over time. Finally, Azoth Extreme includes two pairs of magnetic feet of different heights, giving it three tilt angles to suit user preferences.
