Booming augmented reality startup establishes new global headquarters in Melbourne | News & Articles

Leading augmented reality (AR) company JigSpace is establishing its global headquarters in Melbourne, thanks to a $3 million investment from the Victorian Government.

The easy-to-use JigSpace platform allows users to create and share interactive and immersive 3D presentations. Just as Canva transformed 2D design, JigSpace simplifies 3D rendering technology and makes it accessible to a wide range of businesses.

With the global spatial computing market expected to reach $519 billion by 2032, this investment from Breakthrough Victoria will drive JigSpace’s growth and support the creation of 60 new highly skilled jobs by 2030. The company’s new headquarters will be located at Melbourne Connect.

JigSpace is already a recognized leader in the field and is a popular app on Apple’s flagship Vision Pro headset, with over 50,000 downloads to date.

This is a breakthrough innovation in industries such as advanced manufacturing, robotics and biotechnology, where companies can now easily present 3D renderings to customers, as well as use JigSpace for technical sales demonstrations, product launches, 3D instructions and developing training materials.

The Victorian Government supports business and job creation through a range of initiatives to increase innovation and attract investment to the state, including start-up agency LaunchVic and the Victorian Government Trade and Investment Network, which is the largest network of international offices of any Australian state or territory.
