Concord, the new 5v5 multiplayer shooter from PlayStation studio Firewalk, is now inviting all players to participate in its open beta, giving them a taste of the game through a curated selection of modes and features as well as all from his list of launch characters to try.
The open beta runs through July 22, on PS5 and PC, and features more content than last weekend’s Early Access beta, adding a new map for a total of five and a new mode for a total of four. Players will be able to try out all 16 launch characters and see the first of the game’s cinematic vignettes showcasing the world and stories of the Northstar crew.
Those who participate in the beta will also receive in-game bonuses at launch, including a weapon charm and a player card.

Our dear Ewan spent a lot of time with Concord during its Early Access Beta this past weekend and was impressed by the game, which is a more accessible take on the hero shooter. He said: “The game feels much more accessible for those who have tried hero shooters before but are intimidated by the complexity of the meta. The core mechanics of hero shooters are still there, but switching between characters creates a different rhythm that I think will appeal to most players. The game is well-rounded, well-polished, with a generous assortment of unique but balanced characters.”
