Square Enix has really pulled out all the stops on its marketing game for Final Fantasy XIV’s massive new expansion, Dawntrail, not only creating an entire “Turalism Council” website to encourage fans and newcomers alike to check out the sunny sights of the new Tural region, but it’s also popped up some gorgeous murals for Melbourne and Sydney locals to admire.
The murals represent Viper’s new work from the extension and are quite striking as you can see in the image above of the Melbourne mural. If you fancy admiring them in person, you can find them at the locations below:
- Melbourne: 204 La Trobe St, Melbourne, 3000 VIC
- Sydney: 26 Phillip Street, Paramatta, 2150 New South Wales
You can also see in the upper left of the murals the marking “Tural Board of Turalism,” which points to the elaborate fictional board that Square created that a surprisingly detailed website You can come and learn about everything from creating your own paintings with a Pictomancer, taking a tour of an airship, meeting friendly alpacas, and experiencing the jungle with a Mamool Ja guide. You can even browse some incredible (but out-of-print and unfortunately also fictional) products.
The lime in this delicious tropical cocktail comes from New Zealand comedian Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords, Our Flag Means Death) who plays the role of “Acting Deputy Director of Turalism” on the site and in a promotional video, which you can watch below:
