Dreame Technology launches X40 Ultra robot vacuum cleaner at AUD 2,799

Dreame Technology has launched the X40 Ultra robot vacuum cleaner, which packs a range of advanced features designed to simplify home cleaning. Priced at AUD$2,799, the device promises high efficiency and reduced manual intervention.

The X40 Ultra features several notable features, including a fully automated cleaning station, an anti-tangle brush and smart mapping technology. According to Mike Eagle, Regional Director (ANZ) at Dreame Technology, the product is the result of extensive consumer research. “Our latest innovation, the X40 Ultra, represents one of our most advanced robot vacuums, which was developed after extensive research into our consumers’ needs. Our customers want a robot vacuum that effectively cleans corners and edges, requires minimal maintenance after cleaning and uses smart technology to navigate precisely around their home with ease,” Eagle said.

Among its unique features, the X40 Ultra uses the world’s first bionic robotic arm technology, which enhances its cleaning capabilities, especially in hard-to-reach areas. The device also includes an autonomous self-cleaning base station, algorithm-based intelligent path planning, and sophisticated obstacle recognition technology. These features collectively aim to provide a complete cleaning solution with minimal user intervention.

One of the key innovations of the X40 Ultra is its SideReach extendable brush, designed to tackle corners and tight spaces. These brushes can lift up to 10mm and extend to clean hard-to-reach areas, including the underside of curved furniture and high corners. MopExtend RoboSwing technology ensures the device can reach debris hidden under low-profile furniture by extending its cleaning capabilities by up to 4cm.

In terms of stain removal, the X40 Ultra is equipped with OmniDirt detection technology. This feature allows the vacuum’s RGB camera to identify and clean stubborn stains using enhanced scrubbing techniques. The device also includes a turbidity sensor, which assesses the cleanliness of the water and ensures effective cleaning by washing again if necessary. Notably, this feature is only active in CleanGenius mode.

The X40 Ultra’s self-cleaning base station makes maintenance even simpler. The station can wash, dry and replace the cleaning pads, as well as fill the water tank and empty the vacuum’s dust bin. Users need to empty the base station’s 3.2-litre dust bag approximately every 75 days. Additionally, the enhanced dual scraper mechanism cleans the oscillating cleaning pads and washboard simultaneously, eliminating the need for manual intervention. The cleaning pads are also blow-dried for two hours after cleaning to prevent the build-up of mould and odours.

The vacuum cleaner’s powerful suction power, rated at 12,000Pa, enables it to efficiently collect hair, dirt, dust and other debris. The optimised air duct design ensures smooth airflow and prevents blockages during cleaning sessions. The appliance also offers an optional TriCut anti-tangle brush, which enhances its performance by cutting tangled hair and depositing it directly into the dust bag. This accessory aims to reduce the problem of tangled hair often exacerbated by increased suction power.

The Dreame X40 Ultra is now available for purchase on Amazon, Dreame Technology’s official website, and retail outlets such as Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi. In addition to a three-year warranty, customers will receive a bonus accessory pack including the TriCut brush.
