GM V8 reliability has been in the spotlight recently due to a number of issues encountered by Camaro drivers.
After Darwin, extensive investigative work was carried out to identify the problems of Brodie Kostecki (who came from Perth), Macauley Jones and Nick Percat.
The thrust bearing was finally identified as the faulty part during the renewal of Chevrolet engines between Darwin and Townsville.
