The controller design features Astro’s iconic blue accents on the grips and buttons, sculpted sci-fi lines, and the iconic pair of playful eyes on the touchpad.
The DualSense Wireless Controller – Astro Bot Limited Edition will be available in limited quantities for $124.95 and will launch on September 6, the same day the new Astro Bot game launches.

The Astro Bot Playroom demo that launched with the PlayStation 5 is still one of the best ways to show off the DualSense controller’s true nature and now with the full game and special edition controller, we couldn’t be more excited to see what they do.
With the DualSense Wireless Controller – Astro Bot Limited Edition, you can feel the surfaces Astro runs and slides on, from grass, sand, and metal to softer textures or water. This was already the case with Astro’s Playroom, but the team has increased the number of textures players can feel through the controller.
Next, the adaptive triggers combined with haptic feedback have been linked to Astro’s new powers. For example, when you use Barkster, the bulldog jetpack, you can feel the thruster slam against your finger in sync with the animation, which gives a very dynamic and immersive feeling. Each new power-up has received the same special treatment so that you can experience various expressions through your fingers.

Whether it’s stretching, hammering, or smashing hard surfaces, many new types of impacts can be experienced in Astro Bot.
And of course, the Dual Speeder, one of Astro’s most recurring gadgets, allows him to fly to different planets. The Dual Speeder takes full advantage of motion control, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback.
