This time, the documents were published in a discussion comparing three Russian main battle tanks, the T-90M, T-90S and T-80BVM, all currently in Russian service and deployed on the Ukrainian front.
The documents in question were training manuals for tanks, and while they do not contain any in-depth analysis of the vehicle’s hardware, they are nonetheless classified as confidential. War Thunder forum administrators and community managers have removed all of the offending posts, but gaming press reports note that the documents remain in circulation online.
Surprisingly, this is the second such leak this week, after sensitive documents relating to the F-15 and F-35 jet fighters – initially leaked on Telegram by someone claiming to be a Russian pilot – were shared on the War Thunder forums.
The documents have since been deleted from Telegram, but the cat is definitely out of the bag now that the players have gotten their hands on the data.
Over the past 12 months, players have shared classified or sensitive information about the Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet, the AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopter, the Chinese VT-4 main battle tank, and the M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle.
