Whether you buy one year or three years depends on your own budget, but to maximize the savings from this deal, we recommend buying the maximum 3 years, for a total of $129.87. Don’t buy for more than three years, your Xbox will not allow you to use it beyond this period.

Once purchased, you can redeem them on your Xbox or on the Microsoft website, taking care not to agree to recurring billing each time.

WARNING:If you purchase three one-year subscriptions, do not accept any bonus months in exchange for activating recurring billing when redeeming codes. Step 4 – Redeem your code for Game Pass Ultimate and convert your Game Pass Core

Here’s the trick. When you redeem your code for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, your Xbox or Microsoft website will ask you if you want to convert your existing Game Pass Core subscription to Game Pass Ultimate at a 3:2 ratio. Accept this conversion.

Your 3-year Game Pass Core will be converted to a 2-year Game Pass Ultimate. You just paid $140.86 for two years, instead of the $479 you would have paid if you had paid $19.99 per month. Hooray!
