Fusion allows you to transform Necrozma into one of two forms in Pokémon Go.

Debuting at Go Fest 2024, Necrozma can become Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma by combining with Solgaleo and Lunala respectively.

These forms also come with exclusive adventure effects, making them useful additions to your Pokémon collection.

How to Get Necrozma Dusk Mane and Necrozma Dawn Wings in Pokémon Go

To evolve Necrozma into Dusk Mane or Dawn Wings, it must undergo a process called Fusion, during which it will be combined with other Generation 7 Legendary Pokémon, Solgaleo or Lunala.

• How to get Necrozma Dusk Mane in Pokémon Goyou must fuse Necrozma with Solgaleo using 1000 solar fusion energy
• To obtain Necrozma Dawn Wings, in Pokémon Goyou must use Necrozma with Lunala using 1000 Lunar Fusion Energy

In addition to the above, The fusion process also requires 30 Necrozma candies and 30 Cosmog candies.

From then on, the Solgaleo or Lunala used to fuse with Necrozma will be temporarily unavailable.

Necrozma Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Adventure Effects Explained

In addition to expanding your Pokémon collection, acquiring Duskmane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma also provides a unique Adventure Effect. These are charged moves that can be used outside of battle to provide you with temporary buffs.

These Adventure Effect movements will be acquired automatically as part of the fusion process. This differs from how acquiring Adventure Effect moves for Dialga Origin Form and Palkia Origin Form worked, which were only available by catching a version with that move in a raid (in other words, by chance).

The adventure effects of both Necrozma forms are as follows:

• Necrozma Dusk Mane learns Solar Steel Strikewhich attracts Pokémon that appear during the day and allows you to evolve Pokémon with daytime requirements
• Wings of Dawn Necrozma learns Moongeist Beamwhich attracts Pokémon that appear at night and allows you to evolve Pokémon with nocturnal needs

While active, these adventure effects last for 10 minutes and cost 3,000 Stardust and 3 Necrozma Candy per use. You can extend their duration by spending more of their respective currencies for two additional hours at a time, up to 24 hours.

Can you dissociate Necrozma from Solgaleo or Lunala?

Yes, it is possible to reverse the fusion process to transform Dusk Mane Necrozma into Necrozma and Solgaelo, or Dawn Wings Necrozma into Necrozma and Lunala.

This process is free, but at the time of writing it is unclear whether you have to spend the same energy and candy costs. Again if you change your mind and wish to refuse them.

What else do we know about the Twilight Mane and Dawn Wings fusion in Pokémon Go?

• Necrozma Duskmane or Necrozma Dawn Wings cannot be traded with other players or transferred to Pokémon Home. In other words, they remain in your Pokémon Go account.
• For those looking to use the Duskmane or Dawnwing forms in battle, be aware that they will take the base stats of the Necrozma you are using, and will not take anything from Solgaleo or Lunala into account.
