Ingram Micro New Zealand said it has reached a significant milestone in its partnership with Cure Kids, having raised more than NZ$520,000 for the charity since 2013.
This substantial contribution has supported crucial advances in paediatric health research, positively impacting thousands of children across New Zealand.
Healing ChildrenEstablished in 1971, it is a long-standing charity dedicated to funding research to improve the lives of children with serious health conditions.
Over its 50-year history, the charity has invested more than NZ$65 million in research in New Zealand, making a significant impact on the diagnosis and treatment of seriously ill children.
During the 11 years of Ingram Micro support, Cure Kids has made several advances in child health research.
These include proving that vitamin D supplementation during pregnancy and infancy reduces doctor visits for acute respiratory infections, developing a robotic gait trainer for children with cerebral palsy, and finding evidence that sleeping on your side during pregnancy can halve the risk of stillbirth.

Cure Kids CEO Frances Soutter said Ingram Micro had been a long-time supporter of the charity and expressed gratitude for its passion for what the organisation does and its unwavering commitment to fundraising events.
The tech distributor’s most recent fundraising initiative was its Red Nose Day event on July 9.
Ingram Micro NZ plans to host the Ingram Micro Cure Kids Golf Day on November 29 and support the upcoming Cure Kids Gala on August 9 and the Rebel Sport 24 Hour Team Challenge on October 15-16.
