JinkoSolar Supplies 20 MWh SunTera Energy Storage System to Baizhang Wind Farm

JinkoSolar announced the delivery and installation of 20 MWh of its SunTera series liquid-cooled energy storage prefabricated cabin system at Baizhang Wind Farm in Xiangzhou, Guangxi Province of China.

The company recently launched the SunTera product series that adopts its 314Ah energy storage batteries, equipped with unique liquid cooling technology. A specially designed coolant flow path, flow velocity, pressure and temperature monitoring sensor control the difference between battery temperatures within 2 degrees Celsius, extending the life cycle and increasing safety. By applying a variety of innovative technologies, auxiliary power consumption has been reduced by 20%, compatible with active equalization, with an industry-leading RTE of over 94%.

Designed to achieve a power output of 5 MWh per single 20-foot cabin and supporting side-by-side and back-to-back rows, site utilization is increased by 37%. On-site operations and maintenance have been reduced by 10% thanks to the support of the intelligent platform, while commissioning and operating costs have also seen significant reductions.

Jinko batteries, battery cases and battery groups have already obtained GB/T36276 certification, and during its two-year development and test verification period, the large-scale SunTera series has passed more than 90 safety tests for battery cells, modules and container levels.
