League of Legends 14.14 Patch Notes Bring New Champion Aurora

Riot Games has released the patch notes for League of Legends patch 14.14 and many new features will be added to the game with a new champion, a summer event and a game mode all arriving in the coming days.

For the majority Lol For players, the big addition is the new champion Aurora, a rabbit Vastaya who can channel the spirit world through her abilities. She’s expected to be a solo laner and, on paper at least, she looks incredibly fun. She appears to have a high damage output while also having solid movement abilities so she can disengage if she overexerts herself in a fight. Aurora will be available starting at 19:00 UTC on July 17.

The other big addition in the 14.14 patch notes is the new Anima Squad Summer Event which brings cool new skins and the highly anticipated The Surviving Vampires The Swarm game mode will run from July 17th to August 19th, giving you plenty of time to try out the mode and master all its secrets. There are several champions to try out, bosses to fight, and many secrets to discover.

Interestingly, Riot Games is also extending the Hall of Legends event for another patch, giving players more time to celebrate Faker’s Hall of Fame induction and maximize the event pass. The event will now end on July 29, but many fans are still annoyed by the $500 skin that came with the event.

In the current patch notes, there are more than a few champion balance changes, so you’ll want to read full notes to learn everything. But it should be quickly noted that Smolder benefits from a significant damage buff and that Milio benefits from many changes to adjust his power spikes throughout the game.

But the biggest change for almost all levels of play is a major nerf to Tristana, who has been a threat in the mid lane for the past few patches. At all levels, including professional play, she has proven to be an effective mid laner because she can blast waves and enemies quite easily. Now, her mana pool and costs have been reworked, so she shouldn’t be able to spam as much as before, and that should push her further away from the mid lane.

There’s also a much longer list of bug fixes than normal, which is always appreciated, and of course the addition of a bunch of new skins for the event.
