Welcome to the second installment of MADE Australia’s photo extravaganza. This time I’ll be sharing some of the gravel bikes that were in attendance, but I’ll also be throwing in a few cargo bikes. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the impressive paint job that was on display by Squid Bikes.
Let’s begin.
Gravel Bikes
Cycling on a curve
In 2012, when founder Steve Vagara launched Curve Cycling, he saw an opportunity to offer fellow cyclists premium products without the marketing noise. Adventure is at the core of Curve Cycling’s identity, whether it’s taking the long way home or racing across the country, adventure is in Curve’s DNA.

Devlin Cycles
Using a modern look, but drawing inspiration from cycling’s past, Devlin Cycles founder and builder Sean Doyle designs his bikes to be functional first and foremost. In addition to this functionality, Doyle’s creations always have that sleek, modern aesthetic that provides a smooth yet responsive ride that dances when pushed hard.

Lost Workshop
“In 2016, Ian built his first handmade bike frame, a lugged steel gem made from Columbus tubing. In 2018, The Lost Workshop is the culmination of Ian’s lifelong passion for designing, building and riding bikes. His work is “no-frills” and features classic, clean lines with a modern twist.“

Simpatico Bikes
The brand name Simpatico Bikes comes from the Italian word for “easy to live with.” This reflects the philosophy of co-founders Jeff Servaas and Bandon Stewart in their desire to create beautiful and durable titanium bikes that are, indeed, “easy to live with.”

Jeffrey Frane, the founder of Wilde Bikes, “puts his heart, soul, knowledge, experience and passion into creating the best bikes. Squid Bikes
“Cycling is as mindless and pointless an activity as many other hobbies, which is to say that it is useful and rewarding in a way that is hard to explain. Bicycles are simple machines that provide profound joy. They are a means of finding clarity and peace, not to mention a great way to get around.”

Omnium Cargo
Working as a bike courier since 2002, Omnium founder Jimmi “Jumbo” Bargisen knew a thing or two about what he wanted in a bike, how it should ride, and what it should be capable of. In 2012, he designed his dream bike… and Omnium was born.
