Mass Effect's spiritual successor arrives in AAA sci-fi RPG Exodus

Better wait for Mass Effect 5

A spiritual successor to Mass Effect is on the way for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Although Mass Effect is the undisputed king of the sci-fi shooter genre, fans will have to wait a long time before they can play the next game in the series.

If you haven’t played it, you can grab the entire remastered trilogy with Mass Effect: Legendary Editionwhich you can see below

It is assumed that those who want to play Mass Effect 5 will have to buy a completely new console, beyond the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.

If you don’t want to wait that long, you might be in luck because another sci-fi shooter is in the works and it’s starting to look like a spiritual successor. It even has Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey on board.

The game is called Exodusand you can find all the details on its official website, which is regularly updated with new developments in the game.

Unfortunately, no release date has been announced yet, or even a release window for that matter, although many have predicted it to launch sometime next year or in 2026.

For updates on the game’s development and even bonus gifts when the game finally releases, you can sign up to become a Founder, which offers additional gifts if you invite people you know to do the same.

At first glance, it looks a lot like Mass Effect, though that doesn’t mean it’s not interesting, nor that you shouldn’t keep it on your radar for now.

Who knows, maybe it will come out even before Mass Effect 5 done, as they say Dragon Age: Guardian of the Veil is BioWare’s top priority before moving entirely on to the next sci-fi title.
