Storage can be added to Strato V by bundling it with Terra Prime movie servers.

As a standalone system, Strato V is a single reading area and stores approximately 10 references 4K movies on an internal SSD drive. It features a new, simplified interface, optimized for browsing a small movie library. Strato V can download a Kaleidescape 4K Film in just 10 minutes over Gigabit Ethernet, while the movie is playing, without sacrificing performance. Downloads can be automatically deleted 48 hours after playback, freeing up space for more movies.
Storage can be added to Strato V by bundling it with Terra Prime Movie Servers. This brings the Strato V interface back to the traditional Kaleidescape experience. Any number of Strato V Movie Players can be grouped with one or more new or existing Terra Movie Servers, adapting to the needs of the installation.
Strato V incorporates new electronics and grounding topology. The addition of player-side decoding for high-bitrate audio codecs provides flexibility to maximize sound quality with a range of downstream components. Each signal has been carefully upgraded to deliver superior quality and robustness. Strato V is housed in a modern black anodized aluminum and glass chassis, providing a sleek and stylish design.
Strato V has access to the Kaleidescape Movie Store, the world’s only digital movie provider with lossless audio and full reference video quality. The Movie Store offers thousands of 4K and HD titles including movies, TV shows and concerts, with over 100 currently available in Dolby Vision, with more coming soon. Movies are available with lossless and object-based multichannel audio, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
Customers can now choose between the Strato V and Strato C movie players, depending on their needs. The Strato V is perfect for new customers and those with a TV or projector that supports Dolby Vision, or older audio equipment that does not decode Dolby TrueHD or DTS:HD. The Strato C is perfect for existing Kaleidescape customers who have a Co-Star setup or a large library of HD content.
