Looking for tips and answers for Monday connections? You can find them here:
Hello everyone! I hope your week has started well.
I’m trying to be more mindful of how I spend my time instead of wasting hours on social media. While Twitter is (unfortunately) still very useful for finding information for work, I deleted it and a bunch of other social media apps from my phone last week. The only app I still have is Instagram, which lets me catch up on stories from friends and family once a day. I already feel a lot lighter.
Today The New York Times Connections clues and answers come right away.
How to play Connections
In ConnectionsYou are presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to organize them into four groups of four by determining the connections between them. The groups can be things like horror movie franchises, a type of verb, or rappers.
There is only one solution for each puzzle, and you will need to watch out for words that might belong to multiple categories. You can mix the words together to perhaps help you see the connections between them.
Each group is color-coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to figure out, blue and green are in the middle, and the purple group is usually the hardest to deduce. The purple group often involves wordplay, so keep that in mind.
Select four words that you think go together and hit Submit. If you make a guess and get it wrong, you’ll lose a life. If you’re close to getting a correct group, you might see a message telling you that you only have one word left to guess, but you’ll still have to figure out which one to swap.
If you make four mistakes, it’s game over. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen with a few tips, and if you’re really struggling, Connections answers.

My fifth consecutive perfect game extends my winning streak to nine.
PAN and PARKER were close together on the grid, so I quickly figured out the purples. TRIAL and PILOT helped me deduce the greens. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw FIDDLER was Fiddler on the roof, but even though I was on the right track, I didn’t see what went with it. In any case, I took the yellows to leave me with the blues for the victory.
