I really enjoyed this Connections game after yesterday’s setbacks. None of the groups were particularly difficult, except for the final purple group, which I didn’t have to worry about because I had already solved the other three by then. I can safely admit that I wouldn’t have had a chance of solving it if I had needed to, though – those silent T’s would have completely thrown me off.
Fortunately, correctly grouping words like “words that mean huge” was a much simpler task, so I completed today’s puzzle without making any mistakes.

What is NYT Connections?
NYT Connections is one of the many increasingly popular word games created by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four items that share something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is easy, yellow is a bit harder, blue is often quite hard, and purple is usually very hard.
The good thing is that you don’t need to solve the last problem, because you can answer it by process of elimination. Plus, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you some wiggle room.
It’s a bit more complex than Wordle, though, and the game can trick you a lot. For example, watch out for homophones and other wordplay that might obscure the answers.
It is playable for free via the NYT Games Site on computer or mobile.
