PlayStation Plus subscribers hail ‘perfect’ addition of free game on day one

There are plenty of fun games to play no matter what PlayStation Plus tier you subscribe to, but the indie title that’s the subject of this article is one you should consider checking out.

Of course, the higher your subscription, the more games you’ll have at your disposal. For example, PS Plus Essential offers an online multiplier, exclusive perks, discounts, and usually a selection of three new games to add to your library each month.

While PS Plus Extra includes everything included in the Essential tier but with the addition of many more PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 games to choose from.

But with so many games on offer, it can be difficult to choose the next game to play from an ever-growing list. However, some Reddit players have put a few names in the hat.

“What games do you love that you would never have played if they weren’t on PS Plus?” request Redditor Xorro175, before listing some PlayStation recommendations, including God of the war, Days gone by, Back and more.

One of the games mentioned by a thread member was a recent indie darling developed by Mintrocket, Dave the diver. In our Nintendo Switch review Dave the diverWe said: “The game’s core loop of daytime exploration and fishing followed by an evening out at a restaurant makes it a perfect fit for Nintendo’s handheld console as a comfortable pick-up game.” The game has since been released to launch the well-received PlayStation port before us.

“Dave the diver“, replied Kanha158, to which CircusBearPants replied: “I just finished this game and it’s just perfect. It’s challenging without being stressful. Just eye relaxation with occasional WTF moments.”

Dave the diver is now available on PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. At the time of writing, there is no Xbox release yet.
