Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 launch date is getting closer

[ad_1]

Samsung’s recent Unpacked certainly saw a well-stocked lineup of smartphones and wearables. But one expected device that was notably missing was the Galaxy Tab S10, the successor to the Galaxy Tab S9. A word from a Samsung executive suggests that the Galaxy tablet catalog is still in the pipeline for this year.

A previous report suggested that the Galaxy Tab S10 release could be delayed or even extended to 2025, and that is now the case. However, Samsung still has some wiggle room until next month to not miss the annual cycle, given that the Galaxy Tab S9 was officially announced in August 2023.

However, according to a Samsung representative (via Android Authority), the company is planning to launch the Galaxy Tab S10 series this year. While it hasn’t specified when exactly the tablets will arrive, this narrows the launch window and eliminates the chances of the series being available before next year.

How many Galaxy Tab S10 models will there be?

At the same time, he mentioned a “series,” which suggests that the South Koreans have more than one tablet on the table. From what we know, it was rumored last month that Samsung would be dropping the standard Galaxy Tab S10 from the lineup, leaving the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra as the only two models to be offered. But again, that doesn’t confirm how many models will ultimately arrive.

Details on the Galaxy Tab S10 specs are still slim, but the latest claims that the Plus model will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, which is a flagship SoC alternative to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. That said, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra could run exclusively on Snapdragon silicon.

Additionally, the alleged unofficial renders of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra will have the same exterior as the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra and almost unchanged dimensions with a thickness of 5.45mm. Depending on the materials, it will have a notch on the longer side of the display while the back will have a dual camera and a docking section for the S Pen.

On the software side, the upcoming tablets would likely add new Galaxy AI features launched with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (review) and Galaxy Z Flip 6 like the generative “sketch-to-image” tool called Drawing Assist using an S Pen.
