Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event is just a few days away, and there are plenty of rumors swirling about what will be unveiled. The company may show off new foldable phones, earbuds, and smartwatches, and perhaps most importantly, share more details about the highly anticipated Galaxy Ring wearable health device. We’re also expecting to hear updates on Galaxy AI, the phone maker’s collection of AI-powered software features.
This story is part of Samsung EventCNET’s collection of news, tips and tricks on Samsung’s most popular products.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the July 10 event in Paris, including how to watch and what’s potentially in the works.
How to watch Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event
Samsung will broadcast the event live on the company websiteon the Samsung Newsroom and on his Youtube channelfrom 6:00 AM PT (9:00 a.m. ET, 2:00 p.m. BST, 11:00 p.m. AEST) on July 10.
The company also posted an animated invitation on YouTube, showing a 3D cube rotating on one of its corners on a flat surface, which then projects a silhouette of the Eiffel Tower and the Galaxy AI logo.
Galaxy AI Gets a Makeover
In its event invitation, sent by the company on June 25, Samsung wrote: “The next frontier of Galaxy AI is coming.”

Galaxy AI, which Samsung unveiled earlier this year, is designed to improve and simplify various tasks, like photo editing and search. And as more phone makers, from Apple to Google, tout their respective AI offerings, Samsung is sure to continue to amplify its own developments on this front. In fact, Galaxy AI’s prominence on the invite suggests it will likely dominate the keynote.
The invite also states: “Get ready to experience the power of Galaxy AI, now integrated into the latest Galaxy Z series and the entire Galaxy ecosystem” – hinting that the next generation of foldable and flippable devices will also be unveiled.

Samsung’s next generation of foldable phones could be coming.
New foldables on the horizon
Samsung typically holds two Unpacked events each year: one in January or February, where it unveils the latest Galaxy S lineup, and another in the summer, which focuses on foldables. That’s why it’s likely we’ll see the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 debut at that event.
Leaker Evan Blass shared images of what the devices might look like, as previously reported by 9to5GoogleThe Z Fold 6 appears to have a wider aspect ratio for both the inner and outer displays, and thinner bezels on the outer display. It will reportedly come in silver and dark blue. The Z Flip 6 will reportedly come in light blue and silver, and could feature a titanium frame. (A later leak of WinFuture also shows the Z Fold 6 in pink and the Z Flip 6 in green and yellow.)

Other rumors suggest that the Z Flip 6 could get better battery life, while the Z Fold 6 could sport a slimmer design. All of this could come at a price: a potential $100 price increaseto be exact.
We also hope to learn more about how Galaxy AI will be integrated into various elements of the devices, from the camera to notes to messages.
The new generation of Galaxy Buds
Samsung is expected to unveil new earbuds, which means we could see the Galaxy Buds 3, Buds 3 Pro, or both. The company introduced the Buds 2 at its summer event in 2021, and the Buds 2 Pro the following year.
Leaks suggest that the Galaxy Buds 3 could take design cues from Apple’s AirPods Pro, with a bulb and an angular stem. The case could also be rectangular and open at the top, and feature a transparent design for the top so users can check whether both earbuds are inside at a glance. Samsung doesn’t seem to be taking inspiration from Apple’s bright white color palette, however, as it’s reportedly using dark, metallic colors in its designs.
It’s time to adopt new smartwatches
We may see the Galaxy Watch 7, as well as a more powerful watch Ultra Versionwhich would offer more premium features – and a higher price.
Samsung could also launch a more affordable Samsung Galaxy Watch FE, which could appeal to people who want a smartwatch but don’t want to spend several hundred dollars on more premium versions.

We might learn more about the Galaxy Ring that Samsung showed off at January’s Unpacked event.
More details about the Galaxy Ring
We might finally learn more about the long-awaited Galaxy Ring, which Samsung showed off at its Unpacked event in January and prototypes of which were shown at this year’s Mobile World Congress.
As Samsung continues its push into digital health, it’ll need to differentiate itself from competitors like the Oura Ring, as CNET’s Patrick Holland points out. It has the potential to do this by leveraging its brand reputation (if you already love your Samsung phone and/or smartwatches, you might also want to consider the Galaxy Ring) and making the Galaxy Ring more affordable. (The Oura Ring starts at around $300, with a $6 monthly subscription.) We may learn more about final specs, pricing, and availability at the Unpacked event this summer.
As always, CNET reporters will be on the ground covering Samsung’s announcements on July 10.
