Splitgate 2 Coming to PC and Consoles in 2025

It was a shame to see 1047 Games in 2022. The studio did a great job refreshing the competitive arena shooter genre by adding portals (think: Quake meets Portal), but it’s moved on to a new project. We now know that it will be Separation door 2, a free-to-play sequel that will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S next year.

1047 Games is going further in every area this time around, including a much larger development team. A group of created Separation doorwhich started as a school project. The team now has over 150 members and includes developers with experience on games like Call of Duty, Overwatch, Halo, Valorant And League of Legends.

The sequel is being developed from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5. It will feature three factions that you can choose from depending on your preferred playstyle and tactics. The Aeros are agile, the Sabrasks are power-oriented, and the Meridians can manipulate time.

There will be plenty of areas, weapons, and modes to explore, though most of the action will take place in four-on-four combat. An early trailer gives a hint of what to expect, with more details to be revealed in August. Fans can check out a series of free comics and unlock in-game collectibles via the Separation door 2 companion app for And .

1047 Games is struggling to keep up as Separation door was and it turned out — it has been downloaded over 22 million times. It’s a solid foundation to build on, though, and the Separation door 2 The trailer (although it’s more focused on cinematics than gameplay) looks very promising.
