Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is available for free on Amazon Prime

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is one of three additional games that will be available to Amazon Prime members at no additional cost on Tuesday, July 16 and Wednesday, July 17 for Prime Day.

Rocksteady’s controversial DC-themed shooter joins Chivalry 2 and Rise of the Tomb Raider among the Epic Games Store games available to download for a limited time: for 48 hours only starting July 16 at midnight PT / 3am ET. It’s worth noting that Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, which is the version being offered here, includes the base game and the Season Pass content.

But Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is making headlines as it’s available for free via Prime Gaming six months after its launch and just after Season 2, which added Ms. Freeze as a playable character, was delayed to late July.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was of course panned by critics upon its launch. and has an extremely low player count on Steam. Part of the frustration comes from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League not being another Batman game from Rocksteady, albeit one set in the Arkhamverse. The developer’s single-player Arkham series is well-loved by fans, with Batman: Arkham City in particular considered one of the greatest, if not THE best superhero video games of all time. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, on the other hand, is a live-action third-person shooter in which Batman is a villain. Shortly after the game’s release in February 2024, publisher Warner Bros. admitted Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s failure contributed to $200 million revenue loss.

Last month, Warner Bros. told IGN that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League would complete its first year of support, but declined to comment on what would happen after that.

Prime Gaming titles for Prime Day already include Deceive Inc., Tearstone: Thieves of the Heart, The Invisible Hand, Forager, Card Shark, Heaven Dust 2, Soulstice, Wall World, Hitman Absolution, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and Call of Juarez available to claim now, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge and Samurai Bringer, all available to claim starting today, July 11.

Prime Day officially kicks off this year on July 16-17, but there are plenty of deals available for Prime members already. Want to stay up-to-date on all the Prime Day news as it unfolds?
