Developer Erasam has announced the upcoming release of Tecnam P2008 JC for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This is the third aircraft from the Italian manufacturer that Erasam (the developer) and Aerosachs (the publisher) have brought to the platform, after the P2010 and the P92.
For the Tecnam P2008, the developer uses detailed information from the official flight manual. This version of the P2008 for MSFS is powered by the Rotax 912 S2 engine, which dominates the small aircraft market, coupled with the GT-2/173/VRR-FW101 SRTC two-blade fixed-pitch propeller.
Inside the virtual cockpit, simmers will find two Garmin G3X units, providing pilots with a PFD and MFD. Additionally, several steam gauges from the MKI variant will be included, providing a complete set of instruments for flight operations. Erasam has ensured that all switches, levers and buttons are fully functional and animated.
Development progress
Erasam has made significant progress in the development process, and a beta version is expected to be tested any day now. While a final release date has not yet been set, the developer is targeting the end of September for completion.
Previous work
Aerosachs/Erasam is no stranger to developing aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The developer, being Italian, naturally found in his compatriot Tecnam an essential center of interest for its developments. The P2008 will be the third in a series that already includes the P2010 and the P92.
