WIRED’s Featured Deals
Gaming Headset Deals
With comfortable earcups, 7.1 surround sound, and ultra-low latency thanks to Logitech’s exclusive Lightspeed connection, this is our favorite wireless gaming headset. You also get Bluetooth, a 3.5mm jack, and up to 50 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless headset (10/10, WIRED recommendation) is a bit of an oddity. We were skeptical of HyperX’s claim that the battery could last up to 300 hours, but this headset actually lasted longer between charges when we tested it. It’s also comfortable, with excellent audio quality, and the mic is solid for team chats.
No matter what you’re looking for in a gaming headset, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro has it. It features a robust GameDAC with plenty of EQ features for customization, and tools for mixing sidetone, team chat, and game audio, so you can get the perfect balance. With two USB-C inputs, it’s easy to switch consoles. It’s very similar to the wireless version (8/10, WIRED Recommends), which is also on sale. The wireless version includes swappable batteries, and the spare battery stays charged in the OLED base station, so you don’t have to worry about recharging.
Featuring planar magnetic drivers to produce accurate and immersive sound, these headphones are a bit pricey, even with the discount. But they do offer a detachable boom mic and a built-in mic, so you can take your pick. They’re quite heavy, but feel durable and well-made. You also get up to 80 hours of battery life on a full charge.
This older headset is very comfortable, with plush earcups, and it’s light enough that you can almost forget you’re wearing it. It supports 3.5mm audio, Bluetooth, and Logitech’s Lightspeed wireless connection. There’s also a ring of RGB lights along the outside.
Game Controller Deals
With a nicely grippy texture, matte black finish, and plenty of customizable extra buttons, this is our top controller pick for Xbox gamers (though it works with PC, too). There are four rear fins that you can customize with up to 16 different controller functions.
Clip the on-page coupon to see the full discount, bringing the price down to $51. This is the controller I rely on for PC gaming, and it’s a feature-packed delight with Hall-effect joysticks (no drift), customizable back buttons, and fast 2.4GHz wireless (Bluetooth is also an option). Best of all, the dock ensures it’s always charged and ready to go (you get up to 15 hours of battery life on a full charge). If you’re on a budget, the the wired version is also on sale for $20 ($15 off)as this is the case 8Bitdo Ultimate C 2.4g Wireless Controller for $24 ($6 off).
If you want a slide-out mobile controller with a mount for your phone, the Backbone One (8/10, WIRED recommendation) is the best option on the market. It’s so good that it appears twice in our guide to the best mobile game controllers, and Backbone adds value with software designed to tie all your mobile gaming options together (if you can stomach the subscription).
Clip the coupon on the page to see the full discount, bringing the price down to $60. If you find the small controls too finicky, this large slider controller might be for you, as the controller parts are the same size as a regular Xbox controller. It has Hall effect thumbsticks and triggers, pass-through charging, a 3.5mm audio jack, and dual rear paddles, and everything is fully mappable.
You can save a lot of money by going with a wired controller, and you don’t have to worry about charging. Our pick is the GameSir G7 because it looks a lot like a regular Xbox controller, but has Hall effect analog triggers, customizable rear paddles, a hair trigger mode, four rumble motors, and interchangeable faceplates that you can paint.
Gaming Keyboard Deals
This is one of our favorite mechanical keyboards. We have a new guide dedicated specifically to mechanical keyboards, written by WIRED contributor Henri Robbins, who is very involved in the field. Seriously, he takes apart keyboards just to see how the manufacturer put them together for every test. You might be surprised to see that he liked the BlackWidow V4 board (8/10, WIRED recommendation) from a big brand like Razer. That’s because it’s the company’s first real foray into custom mechanical keyboards, and aside from the fact that opening the case voids the warranty, it’s a well-built board with hot-swappable sockets, excellent tactile switches, and a metal upper case.
With colored LEDs, a choice of switch types, and an integrated OLED display, the Apex 7 TKL is one of our favorite keyboards. Everything, including the small display, is customizable. The TKL (tenkeyless) moniker means there’s no 10-key number pad on the right, which can be a real space saver.
This keyboard is an older model, it has tactile switches and is compatible with most custom keys. It is a 96% keyboard, so there is a number pad. It may be plastic, but it feels durable.
The customizable wheel at the top left is a unique feature that can be useful for browsing media or editing videos. Media professionals will appreciate the presets for Adobe applications like Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
Gaming Monitor Deals
If you want an immersive PC gaming experience, a curved ultrawide monitor can deliver it, and this Alienware QD-OLED display (9/10, WIRED recommendation) is our favorite. Expect inky blacks, color accuracy, and vibrant HDR. The 34-inch screen is large, but the 3,440 x 1,400 resolution ensures text is razor-sharp.
Packed with features including a 4K display, an adjustable base with VESA mount, and a built-in KVM switch, this monitor is ideal for work or play. It’s very handy if you have two different computers that you use regularly.
If you don’t want to spend too much money, this 1,440p TFT LCD has a high enough resolution that text is crisp and details are clearly visible. The 165Hz refresh rate isn’t the fastest, but can keep up with most modern, fast-paced games.
