Based on Laura Lippman’s 2019 novel of the same name, Lady in Lake explores themes of racism and misogyny in 1960s America in the style of a gripping dark thriller.

What is Apple Series The Lady of the Lake about?
The series follows the parallel lives of Maddie Schwartz, a Jewish housewife desperate to reinvent herself as an investigative journalist, and Cleo Sherwood, a struggling mother trying to advance Baltimore’s black progressive agenda.
However, the women’s worlds collide when Cleo dies and Maddie becomes obsessed with solving her murder as well as the unrelated murder of a young Jewish girl.
How many episodes are there in The Lady of the Lake?
The series will consist of a total of seven episodes. The first two will be released on Apple TV+ on July 19th, then all subsequent episodes will air weekly on Fridays.
