Those who have been waiting patiently to discover the latest from miHoYo and HoYoverse, the people behind the hugely popular Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail, can finally rejoice. Zenless Zone Zero, a stylish free-to-play action RPG, is officially available out now on PC, mobile, and PS5, with support for cross-progression and cross-play features.
If you missed it so far, Zenless Zone Zero is billed as an “urban fantasy ARPG” that aims to skirt the line between accessibility and complexity to appeal to both new players to the genre and action game fans alike, in addition to drawing attention with its striking and stylish visuals, sounds, and overall ambiance. It’s also set in a post-apocalyptic world where the last remnants of civilization reside in the city of New Eridu, and players take on the role of a “Proxy” as they take on challenges alongside adventurers in the supernatural disasters that have destroyed the world, known as Hollows.
It’s an interesting setup, and one that players have clearly embraced, with the game reaching over 40 million players pre-registered on the various platforms until today’s launch.
