Have you finished Final Fantasy VII: RenaissanceThe 50 hour story? What about its 100 hours of side content? Every Remnawave tower, combat mission, and summoning shrine? Even Odin’s? Well, you’re in luck! It seems Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Homecoming is coming to PS Plus this month so you can delve into the original soldier love triangle that started it all.

According to reliable French leaker billbil_kun, the remake of the 2008 PlayStation Portable prequel is one of the games coming to PS Plus’ Netflix-like library for Extra tier subscribers and above. HD version 2022 has a lot of flaws and will definitely be difficult if you come to it from Renaissancebut it’s a pretty decent vehicle for the original FFVII pass every fan must know to be a completist.

Here are some of the other games that billbil_kun says will be coming to PS Plus Extra starting July 17:

  • Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Homecoming
  • Remainder II
  • Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous – Enhanced Edition
  • Mount & Blade II: Lord of Banners
  • More Heroes 3
  • Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition

Remainder II is last year’s hit looter shooter with Soulsborne influences and excellent level and boss designs. Mount & Blade II: Lord of Banners is a medieval strategy simulation in which you lead armies, fight rival kingdoms, and raise your successors, with sprawling battlefields that combine high-level tactics with first-person action. The Enhanced Edition of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is also worth a look. It is a substantial isometric RPG based on the tabletop game in which you can engage in deep combat and rewarding role-playing.

According to billbil_kun, Sony will reveal the rest of the PS Plus updates for July tomorrow. That’s when we’ll also find out which games are leaving the service at the end of this month and whether the company is finally improving its offering when it comes to the library’s classic game selection. Fingers crossed for more PS2 games starting with Suikoden III.
