Logitech G launches new gaming mouse – channelnews

Logitech G has launched a new device, the G309 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse.

This is a premium mouse with dual wireless connectivity, precision tracking, and reliable performance.

Gamers want the best in their gear, delivering performance, reliability, and comfort. They want low latency, precise control, and synchronization with movements.

Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of Logitech Gaming, said: “For years, we have been committed to evolving our Lightspeed technology and innovations so that everyone, from esports professionals to new players, can enjoy wireless gaming.”

“Our Lightspeed technology, combined with our HERO sensors, has advanced to the point where gamers from world-class esports athletes to entry-level players know they can trust Logitech G mice to perform every time. With the G309 Lightspeed, we’ve brought the same premium technology—including the Hero 25K sensor, PowerPlay compatibility, and Lightspeed wireless—all at a price point most can afford.”

The new G309 is PowerPlay compatible, allowing gamers to power it without a AA battery inside, if they also purchase the Logitech G PowerPlay wireless charging system. It reduces the weight by 18g.

The mouse also features the Hero 25K sensor, which provides over 300 hours of continuous gaming at a 1ms report rate. This is possible thanks to a single AA alkaline battery. By switching to Bluetooth, the battery life is extended to over 600 hours with a single AA alkaline battery.

It is durable and lightweight, weighing 86g with an alkaline battery or 68g without the battery.

Logitech combines Lightspeed wireless performance with the Hero 25K sensor to deliver next-gen performance, responsiveness, and accuracy, along with 400 IPS sensitivity and up to 25,600 DPI.

Two Lightspeed devices can also be connected to one receiver via the Device Pairing tool in G Hub. Gamers have the option to use the mouse with the same receiver as a Logitech gaming keyboard.

The G309 is a Logitech G exclusive and features LightForce hybrid optical-mechanical switches. These use galvanic contact pieces inside the switch to function like mechanical switches.

The mouse will be available in black and white and is available for pre-order now for AUD$149.95, from Logitech G official website.
