MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro: an Italian masterpiece at its best, a truly exclusive Superbike

MV Agusta has unveiled the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, a new 205 hp four-cylinder retro superbike limited to just 500 units. The bike has been highly anticipated since the concept was unveiled in Milan in 2022 and the prototype was unveiled at last year’s Eicma show.

Most of the copies have already been bought by MV Agusta’s wealthiest customers. A more affordable version has not yet been confirmed, but it is likely that it will be marketed, at least that is the impression that is given.

True to the tradition of the Serie Oro editions launched with the F4 750 in 1997, the Superveloce 1000 features 41 carbon fibre elements and front winglets inspired by the 500cc Grand Prix racing bike of 1972. The design remains in-house, even after Pierer Mobility acquired 50.1% of the Italian brand.

The Brutale 1000RR’s 998cc four-cylinder engine has been upgraded for this model, delivering 205.2 hp at 13,000 rpm, with high-quality components such as titanium connecting rods and DLC-coated camshafts. The bike revs to 14,000 rpm before the redline, with an underseat quad exhaust developed by Akrapovič.

Electronic aids include eight-level traction control, front wheel lift control, bi-directional quickshifter, cornering ABS, cruise control and mobile connectivity via a 5.5-inch TFT instrument cluster. It also has a satellite alarm and tracker with a free one-year subscription.

The chassis is equipped with an electronically adjustable 43 mm Öhlins upside-down fork, an Öhlins steering damper and a fully adjustable rear shock absorber, also electronic. The partially spoked wheels are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tires with exclusive red details.

Each Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro comes with a certificate of authenticity and a dedicated cover, as well as accessories such as a leather and Alcantara passenger seat and CNC brake and clutch levers.
