OnePlus just held a new Nord summer launch event, where the company unveiled a slew of new products, including the OnePlus Watch 2R, OnePlus Pad 2, and OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro for the US and Canadian markets. The earbuds retail for $79.99 and $119.99 CAD, respectively.
The Nord Buds 3 Pro are the successors to the Nord Buds 2, which were not available in the US but were launched in other markets like India. However, in a welcome change, the company has chosen to bring its affordable earbuds to the US this year. The new earbuds come in a vertical pebble-shaped case, which sports a matte finish alongside some metallic accents. They come in two colorways: Starry Black and Soft Jade.
Although these are an affordable pair of TWS earbuds, they still pack some notable features that can help them stand out from some other cheap wireless earbuds, such as Hybrid ANC, which offers noise cancellation up to 49dB (additionally certified by TÜV Rheinland) and an ultra-wide frequency range of up to 4000Hz.
In a shared press release, OnePlus said that the earbuds “feature scenario-based Smart Noise Cancellation, which intelligently detects ambient sounds and selects the most appropriate noise reduction mode in real time to balance noise cancellation effectiveness and convenience.” Additionally, there is a Transparency mode to help users stay aware of their surroundings.
The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro feature Crystal Clear Call technology, which leverages the earbuds’ three microphones. These microphones promise exceptionally clear and stable audio during voice/video calls.

The earbuds feature a 12.4mm titanized driver and are accompanied by BassWave 2.0, the company’s proprietary technology for refining bass – previously featured in the flagship OnePlus Buds 3. Additionally, there is a Master EQ with three modes Balanced, Serenade and Bass that allow users to tune their audio listening experience as per their preference.
The Nord Buds 3 Pro promise up to 12 hours of music playback on a single charge with ANC off. With the included charging case, the total listening time is 44 hours. If users choose to listen in AAC mode with ANC on (including the charging case), they get up to 20 hours of listening time.
On the other hand, fast charging is also available, offering up to 11 hours of playback with a 10-minute quick charge.
Other notable features of the latest pair of Nord Buds are Bluetooth 5.4 support, dual connections, and Google Fast Pair for Android phones. Finally, they also boast an IP55 water and dust resistance rating, which is promising considering the segment these new earbuds fall into.
