THE OnePlus 2 Tablet is a tablet with a 12.1-inch, 3000 x 2120 pixel, 144 Hz IPS LCD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. all Most of these features are specification upgrades over the first-generation OnePlus Pad launched about 15 months ago.
OnePlus has also added two more speakers (bringing the total to six) and added support for WiFi 7. These upgrades come at a cost, though: The company’s new tablet carries a list price of $550, which is $80 more than last year’s model. But the OnePlus Pad 2 is available for $500 for pre-orders before its official release on July 30, 2024.
The new tablet has a slightly larger screen, a slightly higher resolution, and slightly better brightness than the original. It also supports seven adaptive refresh rates, where last year’s tablet only supported five. But the OnePlus Pad 2 retains the unusual 7:5 aspect ratio that OnePlus uses for its tablets.
Other features that remain unchanged include the 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras and the 9,510mAh battery.
OnePlus says the new OnePlus Pad 2 features an aluminum unibody design, and the tablet measures 6.49mm (0.256 inches) thick and weighs 584 grams (1.29 pounds). That makes it slightly thinner but heavier than the original (which measures 6.54mm thick and weighs 555 grams).

Another change? The OnePlus Pad 2 is designed to work with a new optional stylus called the OnePlus Stylo 2 that offers 16,000 levels of pressure sensitivity (up from 4,096) and uses vibration feedback to provide a more paper-like feel when you write or draw with the digital pen. You can also use the pen as a laser pointer or a tool for turning pages in a presentation.
The OnePlus Stylo 2 retails for $100, but it’s currently on sale for $50 in pre-orders when you buy it with the tablet. There’s also a new OnePlus Pad Smart Keyboard that retails for $150, but it’s on sale for $75 when purchased as part of a pre-order bundle.
